Damon’s Story

Damon Michael Mauk of Lucas, Ohio, was a beacon of kindness and love, taken from us too soon in a fatal car accident. A proud graduate from Pioneer Career & Technology Center and Lucas High School, his heart was bigger than any challenge he faced. From a young age, Damon’s personality glowed in his nature - funny, unique, and a willingness to look out for others. He never saw strangers, only friends he hadn't met, leaving an indelible mark on all that met him in just 18 years. Passionate about wrestling, cars, and music, his true achievement was the love and kindness he showed daily. Damon believed in being good to others above all else. In 7th grade, he penned his own eulogy:

“Damon, Damon was always missing a card from the deck. He was a gentleman and he tried to stick out by being funny, even when people didn’t see him. He was sometimes weird, but his family admired him, so he was a pretty ok person. He tried what he could to help others.”

Forever cherished, forever missed. Keep shining, Big Scorpio.
